Can I change plans anytime?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, the new plan takes effect immediately and you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle. When downgrading, the change takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
What happens when I exceed my limits?
When you reach a limit, additional scans, assessments or dossiers are blocked until your limit resets or you upgrade. Scanara does not charge usage fees today. Per-scan overage billing (Team €0.50, Business €0.40) is planned and not active.
Do you offer a free trial?
The Free plan is available forever with no credit card required — it is how you evaluate Scanara before paying. There is no separate trial for Team and Business plans; you upgrade from the Free plan when you are ready, and you can cancel a paid plan at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments run through Stripe Checkout. Checkout offers cards and SEPA Direct Debit. Scanara does not store card data.
Is my data stored in the EU?
Scanara stores customer data in AWS eu-west-1 (Dublin, Ireland): scan results with short code excerpts, assessments, dossiers and audit records. It does not keep a full copy of your repository. During a scan, files are read from GitHub (USA) into short-lived memory in eu-west-1. The sub-processor list names every sub-processor, its location and its transfer safeguard.
How long is my data kept?
It depends on the data class. Scan results follow the retention period of your plan, shown in the scan history row of the comparison table above. Audit-trail records are different: Scanara keeps them for at least 10 years on every plan, including Free, and the period is not configurable. Providers of high-risk AI systems must keep documentation for 10 years after the system is placed on the market or put into service (Article 18(1) of the EU AI Act). Your plan sets how far back you can query the audit trail, not how long Scanara keeps it.
