Our Mission
The EU AI Act affects every engineering team building AI systems in Europe. Yet compliance today requires months of manual work, expensive consultants, and opaque processes — creating a moat that only the largest companies can cross. We built Scanara to change that: automated, developer-native compliance tooling that treats the regulation as code.
How we started
Our Story
Scanara was founded by Scanara UG in Dachau, Germany. After seeing firsthand how unprepared engineering teams are for the EU AI Act — and how little tooling existed to help them — Thilo set out to build the compliance platform he wished existed: one that integrates into the developer workflow, scans both code and documentation, and turns regulatory requirements into testable, automatable checks.
